Note: FTP: Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (R) has described Tropical Storm Fay as a “serious, catastrophic flooding event,” as it dumps “historic levels of rain with totals in excess of 20 inches already” in Brevard County. Fay is tracking over the entire state of Florida, devastating crops and causing hundreds of millions of dollars of damage.~~~~~~~~~Um, how many wakeup calls do we need? Anyone with a monsoon, tsunami, tornado, flood, etc. out there to further convince?

Note: FTP: CNN entered a new bizarre framing zone when they repeated a fabricated message from a campaign ad aimed at McCain's conservative base, when they took the opportunity to question whether Barack Obama is the Anti-Christ. The ad is called The One, and it is an attack on Obama's celebrity, but the secondary message appears to be about his candidacy as the Anti-Christ.

The chilling accusation came to light as the budget airline defended its decision to clear the MD-82 jet for take-off despite aborting an earlier attempt because a gauge showed an overheating air-intake valve. The back-to-back performances of Barack Obama and John McCain may have been judged roughly even, but in the battle of Pastor Rick Warren versus George Stephanopoulos, Charlie Gibson, Chris Matthews, Wolf Blitzer, Gwen Ifill, Bob Schieffer, Brit Hume, Judy Woodruff, Tim Russert's Ghost, Jim Lehrer, and just about every other full-time network or cable news employee to ever moderate a presidential forum, there was no contest.
