How do I create, view or edit my profile?

When you first register at Searchles, you will be prompted to create your profile. You can edit your personal information anytime you are logged in by selecting "my!searchles" located in the upper right hand corner of the browser window.

You can also add personal details which are not viewable, but are searchable by people who know you. You can also change your display name or slogan any time you want. You CANNOT edit your username so choose it carefully. That's how we know you're you.

How do I change the picture icon (avatar) next to my username?

• From the home page, select My!Searchles in the upper right hand corner.
• Select "edit picture" which appears in the upper middle part of the window.
• Browse your hard drive to find the picture you want to use.
• Click submit and that's it! You're good to go.

Note: You can only upload .jpeg, .gif, .png, or .bmp files. Because anyone on the Internet can view your profile, you may not want to use a photo of yourself but a cartoon or something else.

What's the difference between a username and display name?

You're stuck with your user name for life so choose it carefully.. This is how we know you're you. But you can change your display name as often as you like. It can be the same as your user name but it doesn't have to be.

How can I share content posted at Searchles and who can I share it with?

To the right of every headline or title posted at Searchles, you will see a "share this" icon.

Simply click on the icon and follow the instructions.
